Hanux collects information needed to run an open rider marketplace, including account details, Google login data, profile information, listings, uploaded photos, safety reports and marketplace activity.
When you sign in with Google, Hanux may receive your email address, name and profile image depending on your Google account settings. We use this to create and secure your account.
Uploaded listing photos are stored so buyers can view items for sale. Future media features may contain identifiable people, so users must only upload media they have the right to share.
Users can request account deletion or data access by contacting Hanux support. Production deletion/export workflows will be expanded before wider launch.
Hanux does not sell personal data. Marketplace data may be processed by hosting, authentication, storage and payment providers needed to operate the service.
Controller
Data controller and contact.
Hanux is based out of Cork, Ireland and is responsible for the personal data needed to run accounts, listings, saved gear, marketplace activity, reports, moderation, and account deletion requests. For privacy or account deletion questions, contact hanuxmkpl@gmail.com.
Processors
Services that help Hanux run.
Hanux uses a small number of service providers to keep the site online and working. These providers may process limited technical or account data only for the purpose of running Hanux.
- Vercel: hosting, deployment, and site delivery.
- Supabase: authentication, database, storage, and security logs.
- Google OAuth: sign-in provider for Google login.
- GitHub: source-code hosting and deployment workflow.
- External payment provider, not currently active: payments, seller verification, and payouts if protected checkout is enabled later.
- External shipping provider, not currently active: labels, tracking, and address handling if protected shipping is enabled later.
Legal basis
Why we process data.
- Contract / service delivery: to create accounts, publish listings, save gear, and run core marketplace features.
- Legitimate interests: to keep Hanux secure, moderate content, prevent abuse, and maintain reliable service.
- Legal obligations: to respond to valid legal, safety, privacy, or account deletion requests.
- Consent: where Hanux later asks for optional analytics, marketing, or non-essential cookies. Not currently the main event, thankfully.
Retention
How long data is kept.
Hanux keeps account, listing, saved gear, contact request, and moderation data only for as long as needed to provide the service, handle safety issues, resolve account requests, or meet legal obligations. Users can request account deletion from the Account page. Some limited records may need to remain where safety, fraud, dispute, moderation, or legal obligations require it.
Your rights
Your privacy rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You can request account deletion from your Account page or contact hanuxmkpl@gmail.com. If you are in Ireland or the EU, you may also have the right to contact your local data protection authority.
